Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk, captain of Liverpool, has shared details about his contract situation with the Reds and when a renewal might happen during the upcoming winter transfer window.

In an interview with The Athletic, van Dijk was asked about his contract future with the club. He responded: “I can say that negotiations are ongoing with the club’s management, but as for the future, we’ll see what happens.”

The defender also touched upon his recent performances, stating: “Let the fans talk. I’m not the only one responsible for conceding goals; we as a team share that responsibility.” He concluded by assuring that talks with Liverpool are continuing and that any updates will be communicated to the media.
